UPEIDA is the nodal agency of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, mandated to drive industrial growth and infrastructure development across the state. Established to harness the potential of the state’s extensive expressway network, we are at the forefront of creating world-class industrial corridors, investment regions, and urban centers.

Our mission is to transform Uttar Pradesh into a globally preferred investment destination by providing a transparent, proactive, and investor-friendly environment. We facilitate end-to-end project development, from land acquisition and clearances to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and policy support.

UPEIDA

  • UPEIDA is an authority established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976It was set up via Notification No. 4246/77-4-07-94 Bha/07TC, dated 27 December 2007.
  • The full name: Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. It is responsible for the development of expressways, industrial corridors, and associated infrastructure in the state.

Mission / Vision & Key Functions

  • UPEIDA’s functions include planning, promoting, developing and maintaining expressways and industrial‐infrastructure along them (like logistics clusters, manufacturing zones).

  • On its website it highlights alignment of all expressways in Uttar Pradesh and amenities along expressways such as hospitals, food‐processing units, employment centres etc.

  • It also serves under the Industrial Development Department of the State Government, linking expressway infrastructure with industrial development.

  • Gorakhpur Link Expressway (operational)

  • Ganga Expressway (under construction) 

  • Industrial corridors such as the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor and “IMLC (Integrated Manufacturing and Logistic Cluster)” are also part of the mandate.
